Staying current with design is a fast moving target. What’s cool today can be outdated tomorrow. If you surf the web much, you may have noticed a lot of the same styles in the look of the graphics and layouts. One of these popular styles is the following:
As a way of saying “MerryChristmas“, I would like to show you all how to make this graphic using Adobe Photoshop. So Here it is…
1. Make a new Photoshop Image

2. Using the font “Arial Rounded”, type your text in all lowercase letters. I’m going to use “pmtvoice” for this example. Make your text black for now, we’ll adjust the color later.

3. Goto the top menus and goto “Layer > Layer Style > Blending Options”. This will open up the Layer Style window.

4. In the Styles column along the left side of the window, select “Color Overlay”. Next, click on the color block in the area to the right (This should be black just like our text). Select the color you like, I have chosen a light blue for my button.

5. Next go to the “Outer Glow” Style. Modify the settings in this pane to reflect the image below.

6. Lastly, go to the ” Stroke” Style, and modify the settings to match the image below.

7. Your image should look like this one.

8. Goto the File Menu and first save your file as a Photoshop (psd) file and then save it as a (jpg) for the internet.
